Infocouncil Version 8.13.5 has now been released.
This release includes several important bug fixes, including the resolution of issues experienced by clients with header and footer unlinking behaviour in Microsoft Word documents.
Accessing the Release
As part of our ongoing improvements, Infocouncil’s software delivery process has recently changed. Access to release information and installation materials is now managed through a secure platform.
To request access, please raise a ticket by emailing InfocouncilHelpDesk@infosphere.com.au and confirm which people within your organisation should be granted permission.
We recommend providing access to your organisation’s Primary Governance and Primary IT contacts, where appropriate.
Once access has been granted, nominated contacts will be able to download the following materials:
- Recommended Release package: The package required to upgrade to Version 8.13.5.
- Tools: Resources to assist your team in preparing and cleaning your Infocouncil Test Environment, including the Infocouncil Change Path script and Clean-Out scripts.
- Infocouncil Upgrade Guide: Detailed information for IT upgrade teams covering existing installation upgrades, new user installations, prerequisites, available installation methods and step-by-step upgrade procedures.
- Infocouncil Release Notes: A comprehensive record of the enhancements, improvements and bug fixes delivered across Infocouncil versions.
- System Enhancements and Technical Updates Guides: Plain-English summaries of key changes for Governance users, including screenshots and practical guidance for Versions 8.10.12 through to 8.12.0.
- EDRMS Integration Guides, where applicable: Configuration guidance for integrating Infocouncil with supported Electronic Document and Records Management System platforms.
Testing Following the Upgrade
Following the upgrade, we strongly recommend that Infocouncil System Administrators undertake appropriate testing within the Infocouncil Test Environment.
Testing should include:
- Reports
- Templates
- Papers
- Integrations
- Document generation processes
This will help confirm that everything is functioning as expected before the upgraded version is introduced into your production environment.
